The 50 Project Kickoff
I am a pretty ambitious person. I think of an idea and get quite set on seeing it through. Even if I don’t have a plan, I am certain that it’s what I am going to do. I believe this line of thinking has been a strength for me because it pushes me out of my comfort zone and I am not offset by a fear of failure. It has allowed me to grow and improve over the years, something that I want to always continue to do.
That being said, this idea is definitely ambitious.
Since starting The Phoenix Finish, I have struggled the most with keeping up on my socials which I know is not a good recipe for business growth. I love what I do and I work nearly every day on projects but I am rarely left over with the time to create captivating TikTok videos, aesthetically pleasing Instagram posts, and a website that drives a lot of traffic. Keeping up with my digital presence is going to be my biggest hurtle. Not to mention that 50 projects will be quite a task in and of itself.
But I want to challenge myself and promote growth for my business by refinishing 50 pieces of furniture and sharing the process with you. I have so many pieces that I have ideas for plus lovely clients wanting to see their beloved furniture refinished. There are so many opportunities to create this year that I won’t be able to list them all without forgetting at least half of them. And I am so grateful to be able to do this.
I won’t keep you too long on this post, but I want to invite you to join my TikTok and YouTube channels since those are typically going to be my first posts. TikTok will have shorter, more summarized versions of each project as well as fun little tidbits. My YouTube channel is going to be more of a documentary for the projects. I probably won’t be producing hour-long videos, but I will share more of the ups and downs. One of my goals is to show others how much goes into each project and how things may not always go according to plan, requiring me to re-evaluate and try different approaches.
I hope that over time, I will get to share all the things that I have learned, have a lovely portfolio and many new friends made through these projects. I am excited to get started and can’t wait to share more with you soon!
